VALUATIONS

At Regent we are in the very lucky position to also have actuaries. These are the individuals who use analysis, mathematics and formulae (in basic terms) to carry out various projections, calculations, valuations, mortality modelling, risk profiling and much more such as, modelling to value various cash flows, benefits and liabilities, income and expenditures.

It is very rare for any adviser practice to have this in-house facility and this provides us with a capability far greater than most, particularly in the field of pensions and more complex benefit structures. Indeed many other financial advisers use our expertise in some of these areas for their own clients.

We can utilise these services to help you value benefits such as pensions, trusts, mis-sold policies, demutualisation benefits, endowment policies and more. Calculation of loss of office, financial loss calculations for accident, injury and divorce. In some cases the use of our actuaries has enabled individuals to receive additional compensation or enhanced benefits running into tens of thousands of pounds!

We use either our own bespoke tools if applicable or various industry actuarial analysis software and systems. Some of these can be used for example when we;

  1. Consider the implications of the earnings cap for senior executives
